Water Resources Management

Water is the basis of life. Water is closely related to both poverty eradication, socio-economic development and food security, and is an integrated part of sustainable development.

Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) and Transboundary Water Management (TWM) are holistic approaches for sustainable water resources management through collaboration between stakeholders at different levels, sharing of information, responsibilities and benefits.

Ramboll applies an integrated approach to water resources management linking technical, institutional, organisational social and economic considerations together involving relevant stakeholders. Our experts have a wide range of competences, covering institutional, technical, economic and environmental aspects of water resources management.

Our areas of competence:

  • Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)
  • Transboundary Water Management (TWM)
  • River basin and watershed management
  • Wetland conservation and management
  • Managing organisational change
  • International training programmes for mid-career professionals
  • High-Level TWM and IWRM Seminars
