In a world challenged by a changing climate that may lead to increased poverty in already poor livelihoods, biodiversity loss and increased environmental degradation, it is important to act now to achieve a change of this situation. Ramboll Natura is taking an active role, both through supporting adaptation to a changing climate and through mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in our assignments. In all our assignments we are promoting change towards sustainable development, which implicitly includes taking into account climate change aspects.
The impacts from climate change will affect poor countries harder, mainly because they are more dependent on natural resources and climate change will have negative effects on e.g. agriculture, particularly in subtropical and tropical areas, where many of the poorest countries are situated. They also have lower capacity and fewer resources to adapt to the adverse impacts.
It is therefore important to ensure that all development cooperation activities as much as possible contribute to the countries’ efforts in adapting to climate change.
It is also important to see to that development cooperation activities contribute to decreased emissions of greenhouse gases, when relevant, e.g. through technology transfer; more efficient use of resources; and a more sustainable development.
Ramboll Natura’s approach to climate change builds on over 30 years of solid and varied experiences from implementing development projects and programmes, focusing on sustainable development, natural resources and environment.
We also strive to minimize climate change impact in our daily work.

Our staff is highly competent within their respective field of work and we constantly develop our knowledge and see to that our staff is well informed about the latest developments.
